We take concerns seriously. Here's how to raise a complaint or report an issue with a trader or your platform experience.

MyLocalTrade is a platform connecting customers with independent local tradespeople. Traders are independent businesses — MyLocalTrade does not directly carry out any work. Disputes about the quality of work should be raised directly with the trader in the first instance.

What MyLocalTrade Can Help With

  • Concerns about a trader's behaviour or conduct on the platform
  • Reports of misleading or inaccurate trader profile information
  • Complaints about your experience using the MyLocalTrade platform
  • Reports of suspicious or fraudulent activity by a trader

What MyLocalTrade Cannot Resolve

  • Disputes about the quality or outcome of work carried out by an independent trader
  • Financial disputes between you and a trader
  • Contractual disagreements about scope of work or pricing

For work-related disputes, we recommend contacting Citizens Advice or seeking independent legal advice.

How Platform Action Works

  • MyLocalTrade may review reports and investigate where appropriate
  • Trader accounts may be suspended or restricted if platform rules are found to have been breached
  • We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 business days
  • All reports are treated confidentially where possible
